We're getting close to THE day. Rumour has it, that 5D mkII will be announced tomorrow. Most of you have already seen the rumoured specs, but I'll paste them here for those who haven't seen them yet:

This rumor started beginning of last week and spread very fast.
At the beginning some thought that this could be a fake rumor but now there are so many sites with postings by people writing that they actually SAW the original website with the 5D MKII.
According to most of them the 5d MarkII specs lasted just a few hours on the German site. Then this particular page was shortly down after which it came back with the "normal" 5D.
Some people say that many years ago exactly the same happened to Sigma website and also Tamron and this is done on purpose to stir attention and expectation before new products are launched. Another common marketing strategy?
But some also say that if you look at the screenshot closely (magnifying greatly) then there is a one pixel difference at the beginning of the paragraph with the 5D specs. Or that some pixels in the image of the 5D MKII seem cut&paste. But this could be irrelevant since they are looking at a screenshot. A screenshot is never exactly the same as the original - compression artifacts are normal in these cases.
Someone said there are German spelling mistakes but native speakers confirmed the German is ok.
Anyway friday there was another interesting info: someone phoned the German Canon information service to ask about this. They simply reply "no comment"....

Hi Pero. So do you have independent sources or is your information based on what you have gathered from other rumor sites and discussion groups?
If you do have an independent source. I'd like to hear what sort of odds you give for the announcement tomorrow? 99% or 50% or less?
Why is everyone talking about the 5D MKII?? On his site "Johannes Hoffmann" also has a screenshot of the 3D plus specs of the 1D MKIIIn...
